I know, I'm a terrible blogstress, we have established this.

BUT LOOK! CUTENESS!!



That is Wee Idjit, obviously, being kept amused and occupied and (most importantly) QUIET by the Stud Roomie. He adores Stud, and Stud is just tickled pink by his being there. Makes life a lot more amusing and unpredictable, sez he.

And we can't be having a predictable life, now can we? Makes it all boring'n'shiz.

I know, I have been lax in giving you your weekly addiction of adorable baby pictures. Life's been a wee bit on the crazy end of the spectrum, but Daniel woke me up early this morning, so I've got time before class to post pictures for all you lovely people.

FLYING BABEEEEEEE!! And the look on his face is priceless. Freaks out while he's in the air, but once Daddy catches him, he's all giggles and smiles.


Don't worry, the bottle was empty. I set it down after I finished it, and when he reached for it, I went to rinse it out before giving it to him. No worries there.


Apples! Which I have to watch when I give to him, because even in big chunks like that, he'll bite off a piece and then choke on it.

And yes, I'm aware that it sounds like I'm crying. I'm not. I've got a cold and it SUCKS. Not having a car and having to walk to get everywhere kinda does that. Suuuuucks.

The last one's a random shot of the snow we woke up to. Got a decent amount, considering none of it was there when I went to bed at 1 AM. At the foot of the walk, there are two steps down to the regular sidewalk along the street. You can't even see where those steps are; tis a good way to fall and twist an ankle pretty bad.






Oh, he had lots of fun. Such a happy baby.



The video is taking forever to upload to Youtube, so in the morning, I'll have the video of him opening his VERY FIRST PRESENT, ZOMG!!!

Sorry about not posting this yesterday, but it was hella busy.

Cute Kid Pic

Daniel, in his ever-loving adorableness, had been getting mobile as of late. If laying on his tummy, he wants on his back, and vice versa. No matter what.

So, of course, it goes without saying that when we lay him in his bouncy seat for a moment, what's he do?

Why, he flips over.



But that's not the best part!

The best part is how he'll rock back and forth on his hands and knees, even if though he's in the bouncy seat, and it will bounce. He's happy, I'm happy, everything is hunky-dory. What could be better?

Well, after a while of bouncing, he grows bored, and stores to fuss and yell for Mommy. He usually does this when Mommy is up to her armpits in hot, soapy water, doing dishes, or cooking dinner, and can't exactly drop everything to pick him up. It won't hurt him to sit there and fuss for a few minutes. So, he fusses, and I do housework.

Until it gets quiet... There's something unnerving about a child that was just crying that suddenly goes silent. I get worried and go to investigate, but all is well, and nothing is wrong....




He just got wore out!


*I do apologize for not posting any videos or cute kid pics, and I know you, my loyal readers, have missed it. Life's been busy, yo. I actually work every now and then, and then there was blogging about Blogorado, and finals are coming up, and...*

Cute Kid Pic

This week's edition of the cute kid pic is from this past Sunday, when Daniel was over at his aunt's house for a few hours to play with his cousins and spend time with Gramma Gabby, and leave Mommy to get some cleaning and homework done. And, you know, a general rest. I've been bushed, man.

Aunt Sister gave him a banana, and oh my goodness, he went to town on it. Ate damn near the whole thing, and had a BALL.



Also, he has finally achieved the 'holding-the-bottle-on-my-own' thing. I'm so proud!

I took these yesterday and they were just too adorable NOT to share with you lovely people of the Intertubes.



This was yesterday morning, after I had already posted the Cute Kid Pic. I fed him and put him in his bouncy seat, let him play with the dangly rattle things there, while I fiddled away on the laptop. Killing time before class, you know?

I look up five minutes later, and he is OUT COLD. So cute.

Also, after coming home because power was out across campus all day, we played and watched movies together and fun was had by all.

Til Mommy ran out of cereal. So we improvised. We introduced pears!

And he LOVED IT.






And once again, fun was had by all. He conked right out and took a two and a half hour nap, and Mommy did the exact same thing.

These are some pictures I took of Daniel when I dropped him off at daycare a few days ago. He loves the exersaucer thing they have there. He really likes to stand up and jump around, and the exersaucer has adjustable height so he can do just that.





Very colorful, with a variety of different toys he can grab, spin, and generally amuse himself with.

Cute Kid Of The Week

Okay, here at SFTSM, we're going to start a new weekly tradition. Let's jump on the internet band wagon, shall we?

Every week (Don't know which day of the week yet, but we're starting out on Thursday. Who knows, I may even keep doing it every Thursday. I mean, Marko has the Monday Search Term Safari, and that crazy bald fucker has both gun pr0n and a car list he puts out every Friday. So, hey, what could it hurt?

Besides, if I post nothing else during the week, it'll at least SOME of you who faithfully check my blog something to see/read/etc. I know, I really need to get back on the ball about posting. I promise, I will. Swear. Pinky swear. Just... stop looking at me like that, will ya? Christ...

But okay. The Cute Kid of the Week picture! Maybe two or three, depending on my mood.

And of course, because you would expect no less of me, they're only going to be pictures of *my* cute kid. I could care less about everyone else's spawn. Who cares about them? *grins*
